I have had two reports of users getting the mobile site on their computer (using Internet Explorer).   Any advice on how to troubleshoot this would be welcome.

First let me congragulate you for this awesome plugin.
My reason to post here is to suggest a fork. (I did not find another place to post)

I will point to an important potential of your plugin. Nameley this is the possibility  to change the template according to some parameters. This does not need to be uniquely  the presence of a PDA.

Example: The template change can be triggered  if the user is not registred. In this case for guests We could show PDA template and  for registred ones another template. Evidently  the pda template  would only be a container template that would be edited by site admin for the purpose.  This could be a minimal page with only a login module. Lets call  it "template switch mambot".

So let me ask  my real question.  Would you be interested to offer  to the community such a modified bot? (I hope that this  is a simple task)

1. Mobile Joomla 3.0 is further developing of PDA-mambot 2.1.2. I recall it because, first, this version will work both on PDA and other devices (cellphones with wap etc), and second, I'm going to transform it from mambot to component.
2. There is no single list. But I listed most new features on each release.
3. "Basic" - Yes, I think. But I don't test it with 3rd-party components.
4. It depends on plugin.
5. Mobile Joomla - Yes. You can set any domain name as a pda subdomain.

Received "Unrecoverable error "PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10)" when installing mambot. Any idea how to fix?

Try to download and install tar.gz version of mambot (it's because of phpnet.us hoster attempt to add ads banner to any downloadable file. )

2. Google now supports “mobile sitemaps”, maybe there could be a plugin to manage this function too?

PDA-mambot allows to display any page in a “mobile” format. Therefore there should be no difference between sitemaps.

3. there’s a plugin for Wordpress that performs resizing when mobile devices request it. Look here for an example: http://www.andymoore.info/wordpress-mobile-plugin/
It works brilliantly.

I know about this plugin. It allows to create “thumbnails” of images when you upload them with the post. However there are some problems which cannot be solved in a similar way:
1. If the site already exists some time plenty of images without thumbnails can be collected.
2. Mobile devices have different resolution, therefore there is a question: till what size it is necessary to reduce images?
3. There are many ways for inset images into article/post (via wysiwyg editors, by ftp, etc.), therefore there is no opportunity to process all of them.

Instead of it I wish to realize other solution: by means of “PHP Image Rendering Library” to change the size of images so that it did not exceed the size of the pda screen.

It is sore point. The matter is that PayPal system has a restriction for Russia: inhabitants of Russia can pay purchases, but not receive money via PayPal. I do not know, whether they sometime will change this condition or not. Therefore now in Russia the most popular system of e-payments is WebMoney.
